Wish, dreams, hopes, desires, aspirations,… call them what you want you want….

I chose to use Wishes as the title of this page because I was inspired by Twenty Wishes, a blossom street book. While I don’t usually read romance type books, I read this after a friend mentioned it and after looking through it saw that it wasn’t a typical romance novel at all.

After reading the book I got to thinking about things that I never got to do or that I’ve been wanting to do.  And so I sat down and quickly jotted down some wishes. Granddaughter Jess who just so happens to be the same age as the girl in the book, was curious about what I was writing… actually this child seems to find me a curious creature in general and will ask me loads of things about anything I do and then jumps in to help or takes off on my ideas and does her own thing..

Turns out Jess had no trouble at all starting her list…. she immediately wrote..
- be an artist when I grow up (she is well on her way )
- swim with dolphins
and so on… she didn’t ask for anything material …

If a child can do this… so can I… right? I added a few more things to my list and recently found that my list was misplaced. I had to laugh when my granddaughter quickly listed most of the things on there. She is excited about my wishes as she is about hers and had been keeping track of progress.

And now a few others have become interested in working on their own lists… and we are even planning a get together where we will work on our lists, setting up a journal, binders, etc. I hope others will join in with comments about their wish lists..

Then recently I saw a movie The Bucket List similar theme, different circumstances… in the movie the list was thing the characters (and I do mean characters) wanted to do before they kicked the bucket.   A search led me to this Wikipedia page about The Bucket List.  A scroll down the page will give you the Title in different languages…

So… what will you call your list? 

Wish List, Dream list, bucket list, now or never list, its never too late…?  I think I like Ahora O Nunca because it nudges me to say Yes more often when an opportunity arises and not wait for what I think is the right moment…
